Assessment and remediation are separate jobs in Texas
Texas licenses mold assessment (inspecting for mold and writing the remediation plan) and mold remediation (removing, cleaning or treating it) separately, through the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. TDLR's guidance says a licensee may not do both on the same project. Each listing shows which license type a company holds, and when you ask for both, we look for separate firms.
What we don't do
- We don't publish ratings, reviews or descriptions we haven't collected ourselves.
- We don't show company phone numbers, emails or street addresses; the request form is the contact path.
- We don't send your request to more than three companies.
- We don't give medical or health advice, and we don't claim a listed company has agreed to take your job.
We're a directory, not a medical or health resource. For questions about health, talk to a doctor or other medical professional. For general information on mold and moisture in homes, see the U.S. EPA's A Brief Guide to Mold, Moisture and Your Home.
